Where have the past 21 months gone? It seems like the year 2020 and 2021 have slipped away from us because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. We’ve been locked down, re-opened, lost & made money, said goodbye to welcome staff, accepted and soldiered on through many unforeseen challenges, but through it all, still standing strong. A lot if it has to do with the support of our great community, the diligence of our team, Management the Board of Directors, who play an immense part in the survival of the Waikerie Hotel. All in all, it has been quite a hard and challenging road.
New Restrictions come and go, and some have stuck around (masks) – New mandates every now and then that we must abide by regardless of views, but it seems like that is now the “NEW NORMAL” that the community has come together. One thing is for sure, is that it has not been easy – but we have been giving it our best, to maintain and still provide the excellent service we provide, not to mention being a great part of this small Waikerie/Riverland Community.
We have weathered the storms past, climbed the mountains that seemed hard to surpass, but through it all still pushing forward, and standing strong, challenges and all. Safe to say there is still a lot of work to be done with the future that is “LIVING and MOVING FORWARD WITH COVID-19”, but we will do and try our best to serve and support our community, valued customers & guests.
